David Scacco

Co-Founder & Partner

  • David Scacco is a partner and co-founder at Essentia Capital Partners, a company that enables individual investors and family offices to access private investment opportunities that are expected to generate attractive, risk-adjusted financial returns. David has over 15 years of experience investing in real estate, private equity and start-ups. Prior to investing, David started his career in Chicago in advertising, new media, and digital marketing. He moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1998 and holds the distinction of joining Google in 2000 as the company’s first advertising executive. Later he earned Google’s prestigious Founder’s Award before leaving the company in 2007 to focus on investing.

    At Essentia, David identifies, underwrites, and partners with sponsors of real assets in multifamily real estate, self-storage, and climate tech infrastructure. David is passionate about creating positive outcomes for investors, families, and the planet through alternative investments.

    David is married with three children.

Gino Borges

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

  • Gino Borges manages and invests in market-driven projects and funds that focus on environmental and social impact in multi-family real estate, self-storage, and climate tech/infrastructure.

    With over 20+ years of experience in both traditional finance and impact investing, he’s committed to transforming legacy industries by integrating environmental and social impact to generate long-term sustainability.

    Inspired by his work in impact investing, Gino is also the Founder & Curator Poetry of Impact as a community for high-net-worth individuals to leave a legacy of well-being, wisdom, and wealth. He has a BA in finance and a PhD in Philosophy of Rhetoric. Gino lives in Reno, Nevada.

Dana Reynolds

Director of Investor Relations

  • Dana Reynolds seamlessly orchestrates communication with Essentia Capital’s investors, clients, and the broader financial community. She plays a vital role in maintaining transparent, open, and positive communication between Essentia’s investors while managing the firm’s day-to-day operations.

    Harnessing her knowledge of the latter half of the decade supporting a small family office investing in multifamily real estate, Dana works closely with Essentia’s partners to provide high quality investment products in real estate and private equity while keeping investors well-informed about the funds’ performance, strategies, and the overall success of the firm.

    Dana earned a BA in Economics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and an M.Ed. from the University of Nevada, Reno. Originally from the Midwest, she now calls Reno, Nevada her home.

Christian Leon

Business Development

  • Christian Leon is responsible for partnering with investors to help them identify investment opportunities across Essentia's real estate strategies. He works closely with each investor to understand their goals and priorities. 

    Christian brings over 10 years of planning and investment advice from top financial institutions to families, individuals, foundations and endowments of significant wealth. 

    Christian earned his B.A. from Binghamton University, earning a degree in Economics. Originally from New York, he now resides in South Florida.
